HI guys got a message error 5 on my xbox after i unlocked the originqal hard drive i had heard that it didnt need to be locked if you werent using the ms dashboard so i restarted it at bam now all i get is a message error 5 and thats it please gusy help this wasnt my xbox so if anyone knows how to fix this they would be helping a fellow member out majorly thanks guys _________________ Xbox Version 1.6

unless you have softmodded your box
then what you heard was correct.
did you make any backups?
do you have accses to a tsop flashed
box or a mod chipped box?
you need that drive locked.

the harddrive doesnt need to be locked if you are not using the oryginal bios ,
if you did a softmod and unlocked the harddrive then you will need to put a chip on that xbox to lock the drive _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
