ok, first off I'm new to this, I had a guy install my HD and everything.
my question is:
on the screen under system utils, they have the option Lock Harddisk, unlock Harddisk and I was wondering what they did and if they worked good??? I'm thinking its to lock your HD so u can use LIVE. I'm playing some of the sports games and I wanna go online to update the rosters.
P.S I'm not an A-hole so if anyone wants on my FPT site thats cool, just IM me my SN: Mastergame I'm on AIM if ya wanna just DL or trade thats cool.

you must lock your hard drive to be able to turn off your modchip..!
If you dont lock your new Hard Drive and you disable the modchip you will get a E13 ERROR 13 Your Xbox Requires Service..
So just lock you hard drive if you want to turn off your MODCHIP.. Then it wont have this error..
btw.. YES, This is what you need to do to play XBOX LIVE with a upgraded harddrive.
so if i want to use LIVE i should just lock my HD right?
will i still be able to load off my HD while using LIVE?

yup, you must have your UPGRADED (new) hard drive locked to turn off your modchip so then you CAN play on XBOX LIVE..
You cannot run games from the hard drive and expect to play XBOX LIVE (it wont work).. You must have the original DVD-ROM in your XBOX to play online..
