Posted: Thu Jan 20, 2005 4:05 am Post subject: XBMC 2005-01-15 video playback issue
I installed 2005-01-05 the other day and I've been watching some of my Divx movies on a DVD-R and every once in a while XBMC kicks out of the movie and goes back to the previous menu. Then I just load up the file again, fast forward to the place it stopped and keep watching. I've determined it isn't the movie files and it just started when I upgraded.
I just wanted to throw the problem up on the boards and see if anyone else is having this problem.

never had that happen :/ are they .divx files? i've only ever played 1 actual divx and had np. i usually play Avi's. and then again i play most of them off the hdd and not from a dvd.

weirdness, i think most avi's are divx encoded nowaday's but i haven't had a problem yet. i installed and updated the XBMC from the avalaunch dash. thats the version of XBMC i use.

well I was messing with it last night and i got through most of a movie and didn't have a problem it might have been just a one time deal
