Posted: Mon Jan 03, 2005 9:07 pm Post subject: Aladdin - Problems installing modchip, doesnt activate.
hey! I just bought myself a Aladdin Live modchip with the programmer.
I have installed the chip in the Xbox (1.6 w/samsung memory) according to the manual on their home page.
The problem is as following:
When i turn on the xbox i just get the original MSDash with the green X. The LED around the "power button" doesnt change colour or blink other beeing orange when i hold it for 2-5 sec.
When i push the power button the blue LED on the Aladdin chip lights up, but turns off as soon as I release the button.
Iahve solded BT,D0 and L1 wires according to the manual at their homepage.
PLZ!!
I need immediat help and would aprisiate any ideas of what the reason could be for the problem.

Hiya
You need to program it with the evox M8 bios with the programmer
If it still don't work check all your solder points
