Hey guys,
I seem to have run into a bit of a problem here. Every time I try to boot my Xbox, I get an error code either 13 or 14.
I'm looking for a way to put the Xbox dash version 5960 on there, so it can boot successfully and I can softmod it. I've tried using the Halo 2 disc to update it by going into the Xbox Live section, but all it gives me is the option to troubleshoot Xbox Live because it can't connect. When I launch the troubleshooter, it restarts the console and boots the game back up. :\
Any help here? I'm at my wit's end.

Never mind, I'm going to Goodwill to return this Xbox and see if I can get another one.

AutoBuilder and Hotswap the sucker. Will fix it and mod it at the same time.

Not really in the mood to tinker with a hotswap, unfortunately. :/

If dash update via Connect To XBOX Live fails, then hotswp or a modchip is all thats left.
The error message it gave you, leads me to believe there are integral dash files missing as the update is contained on the disc itself and you dont need to actualy connect to Live. Also E13 is dash failure (usualy caused by an XBE getting deleted or corrupted). So yeah not realy an easy fix. So if note game for the more hardcore methods, go with your above plan of trying to get your money back for it.

Got my money back, picked up another one that isn't a V1.0 and that had a free game in the tray as well! I'll see if I'll have more success with this one.

Hope this one is more co-operative. And when you get around to modding it we got lots of new stuff to jack that sucker out. Just added new emus, HDD upgraders, and installers to the download section.

Just so you know I departed from my normal version naming with Emu Installer. 3.1 isnt bug fix etc over 3 but rather disc 2 so to speak. Meant to cover a bunch of emus that were suggested to me by Madmab, Bigby and some of the other Xtras devs an regulars bt not included in V3 or covered by the Xtras Installers. There will be a 3.2 as well to cover the las of the emus and some homebrew games

Ahhhh. I got you. That's kind of a confusing way to go about it. Yeah, I was wondering because it seemed like quite a few key emulators were left out like NES, SNES, and Genesis.
