Dear all,
I've been reading your tips and advise on xbox-hq site for some time. With some great success.
however, I am having some problems moving files from my laptop to my xbox. I have a Xbox modified and use EVOX. I have read through a lot of posts but I can not seem to find the issue.
I am using a cross cable and have set my laptop and xbox as suggested in several posts. My ping connection seems to work. I am having problems to log-in. I use the default xbox login and password (xbox/xbox) but I get the following message: 530 Login or password incorrect! I am using FLASHFXP.
I have tried connecting through my router (without cross cable) but with same result.
What seems to go wrong?
Xbox (static) settings:
IP: 192.168.0.2
NetM: 255.255.255.0
Def. Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS Serv.: 0.0.0.0
and when I try to connect I make sure I turn of my firewall of my Norton Internet Security and Windows Firewall.
Some of the posts are a bit older and I noticed some of the settings in windows have changed. I am using Win. 7. (i.e.: TCP/IPv6 was in the past not available, should I turn this and other settings off before connecting through TCP/IPv4?)
Whatever I try I keep getting the same message: 530 Login or password incorrect!
I hope this blog is still active and some people can help me out.
Cheers,
T-Bone

I don't think connection is an issue because you can ping the Xbox and you get a response when trying to log in. I do, however, think that you somehow changed the username or password to log into your Xbox at some point.
Go check around the EvoX settings to see if you can find something related to username and password for FTP. I don't remember where exactly it would be because I haven't used EvoX in years, but I can take a look a bit later for you if you can't find it. _________________

If the password has been changed and you are unsure what it is, just grab amy Xtras, XBMC or Emu Installer, pop it in the XBOX and run it then FTP.
The password/username if using any of the above will be xbox
