Hello,
I have got a softmodded Xbox v1.6 running uleashx. I want to upgrade to XBMC and a few other programs that are on the AID 4.5. My PC does not have a DVD burner.
Can I download the AID 4.5 and FTP it over to my XBOX?
Or should I just sign up for VIP priveledges to download what I want for programs and build my Xbox that way? Any help would be appreciated.
I am not all that up to speed on computer tech but from my reading on these forums, I just love what the Xbox is capable of doing. All lot of work went into this site.

Unpack the aid ISO and drop the file in your xbox programs file with ftp and you can launch it from there.

Thanks for the help.
I think I will create a folder on the PC and stick all the 28 or so .RAR files in there, then upack them with Winrar. Then do I just FTP them over to the C or F drive? Once they are transferred do I just open the file xbhqaid4 to get it to execute the programming sequence?
I hope I am not troubling you with so many questions I'm still reading and learning new things everyday. Thanks again.

When you un rar the files you should see an iso file and you will need to unpack that with an app like magic iso, you will now have an AID folder that can be FTPed to your mod dash APP folder found in F or E drive depending on HDD size.

I think I have about got it. Just a couple more questions.
I unpacked the AID 4.5. I put the add-ons that I wanted to include, then used MagicISO to give me only a ISO image in a folder of about 1.2g.
Do I now just ftp it to my E drive in the .ISO format, or do I have to convert it to a .XISO format for my Xbox using Qwix to recognize it?
How will I initiate the AID program on my xbox once I get it there?
I have searched for these answers, but could not find a direct answer.
I appreciate your help. Thank you once again.

You need to unpack the ISO so you have files and then when you have the files moved over to your xbox you will click on the XBE file to launch it, if it is installed to you Apps folder you should be able to click on the AID icon in the Apps list to launch it.
