Hey guys, its been awhile. I'm having some controller issues. I recently broke my last controller so I went out and bought one of those crappy gamestop knockoffs. Unfortunately besides the joysticks sucking, it dosnt have a breakaway cable. I decided to cut off the end of the controller and attach the little round connector (hope this is making sense) from one of my old controllers so I could use the breakaway cable. It seemed like it would be easy enough, but it turns out theres an extra (6th) blue wire on the gamestop controller that I dont know what to do with. Any ideas? _________________

It problably is just nothing as the controllers are USB1 ports with a extra yellow wire, so I wouldent worry to much about it. I had a broken Microsoft controller, it was the cable which was not working, I cut it, opened the controller and soldered the wires directly on the main board. Anyways, whatever it is, good luck getting your problem solved. _________________

hey Wes No I havent messed with it yet, and I do know about the extra yellow wire but that is something different. Yellow wire is for a light gun controller. I guess Ill give it a shot and see what happens. _________________

Yeah, I dont think it could be something to special since at some point the two wires would be forced to be merged since there is only 5 wires in USB1 (including yellow wire). _________________

Also half the reason I was doing this is cause im too cheap to buy a PC controller. Anyone know if that driver works on Windows 7? _________________

The Windows Vista 64-bit worked perfectly for me, even though it was VERY hard to get it to work. haha. I'm sure if the drivers work on Windows Vista 64-bit, it should work on Windows 7 perfectly fine as Windows Vista is TERRIBLE for driver compatability. haha _________________
