Hey guys, I recently softmodded my system, and got it all working fine. I proceeded to make myself an aid disc, and started installing some of the stuff from the disc. I installed a number of emulators and apps, and everything seemed to be fine. I exited the AID menu back into my unleashx dashboard, and tried out some of the apps. XBMC worked fine, as well as a few of the emulators. I thought it was all good, until I restarted. When it boots now, it hangs on the softmod logo screen. I can still get it to boot xbox games, but when I tried to get back to the softmod menu, using the splinter cell game save exploit, to try and reinstall the softmod, it just restarts the game. I'm not sure what went wrong, or what else to try, so any help any of you could offer would be appreciated. For what it's worth, I do have backups I ftp'd to my pc before running the AID disc, if that helps.

First thing you can try is hooking the HDD to your PC and then delete the content of the E cache folder, should that not help you could try deleting the trainers since they have been known to bug the system from time to time.

Just updating the status of my issue.
I think there was something wrong with the first AID disc I burned. It would run from the unleashx dashboard, but wouldn't run on boot. I imagine that the bad disc may have also had some corrupted files that got installed when I tried installing apps, although I'm not sure exactly what. Anyways, I burned a 2nd disc, and this one is capable of running on boot. With this, I was able to restore my system back to retail, and start over. I got everything working now, and even took it a step further, and upgraded my hdd to a 200GB drive I had lying around unused.
Now I've got XSelect running on boot, and all my dashboards installed on G as apps with XSelect set to default to XBMC. I do have one minor issue with this setup. I've got UnleashX set as one of the alternate boot options with XSelect, but when I try to use that option to launch into UnleashX via XSelect, I just get a black screen. I don't think there's anything wrong with UnleashX itself, because I can get to it just fine from the programs menus of the other dashboards, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
