I have a hardmodded Xbox that I have changed the hard drive on. I am using AID 4.5. After doing a format and a one-click install, the xbox will only boot to the MS Dash. I have tried Avalaunch, EvolutionX, XBMC etc with the same results. I have no problem booting with the old harddrive.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

OK, I got it working by comparing the contents of the new and old hard drives. I renamed evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe on the new hard drive and it works now. Does this mean that I have an out of date Bios? I am using a Duox2 GS chip, but the Bios checker does not show what I am using. Should up update my Bios, or just leave it be since it is working. I am probably not supposed to ask this, but if I should update my Bios, which should I use?
Thanks

Hi, I wouldnt bother flashing a newer bios if everything seems to be working, but if you are tempted to do so id go with the x2 5035 bios, make sure you use the correct one for your version of xbox (theres one for xboxes v1.0 to v1.5 and a different one for xbox v1.6)

Cool:

Thanks for the help. Since I have 2 banks, I decided to give it a go. I have 5035 on one bank, and the unknown on the other, and both are working fine, except as before, I need a default.xbe for the unknown one.

Thanks again
