Okay, So I know that I have the chip in right, I get the blue light and the chameleon screen on the tv. I put in a new 120 GB HDD. I tried using slayer evox auto-installer v2.5, but it wont read any of the cd's I've used, keeps saying "unable to read, halting." I've used cd-r, cd-rw, and dvd-r, all burnt at 4x or lower. I know that I have the thomson dvd drive, so its a little pickier then the newer ones, but I know it will atleast read the dvd-r's because I've played dvd movies on it. I also tried just flashing with a new bios, following the instructions from http://www.solosounds.com/xbox/Chameleon%20Bios%20&%20Dash.pdf, and that didnt do anything.
I dont know what i should try next.... Should I put the old HDD back in and try to flash the bios with that HDD in, and then put the new HDD in and run slayer, or try to run it? Any help would be great, thanks guys. _________________ XBOX v1.0:

Hi mate,
Personally i would pop you original XBOX harddrive in and reflash your bios..

I got it working. I have the stuborn thomson dvd drive and it was licking any of the cd-rw i was using. I bought some new cd-rw's and it all loaded it up....I'm sooo happy, now i'm playing with everything, good times for all. _________________ XBOX v1.0:

and i am suprised that u had problem with cdrws even and dvdrs
