i tried both 640x480 n 800x600 (since i only have an SD tv) n 640x480 works but i get the over scan. do u know if i can loan xubuntu like xdsl in the way i launch it?
xUbuntu comes as a `live CD` - you put it in your DVD drive and it runs from there ........ You can install it but your on your own there, its something i havent tried.
( ive quickly had a read of some xUbuntu documentation and it seems a little tricky, to get Firefox running you need to enable `swap` space, this is sort of like a windows system virtual memory, i imagine you need to install it to your hard drive to enable this. Id be cautious of installing it if you do go ahead with things to make sure it doesnt completely wipe any partitions). _________________

or, this is what i used untill the NXE came out this mornin at like 5 am.
It works pretty well believe it or not. Im sure it will work for the xbox as well because its just a media server that the xbox can most likely see if you run it. Also, so you dont think im stupid lol, it does have hulu on it as well! _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial
Been doing a bit reading on xdsl, i think the version on the AID disc is v0.5 - if you were to download this version http://www.mediafire.com/?svjdl2v2zgu i think it has a fix for your 1.6 scan issues. _________________

ok i'm downloading this right now /|\ n i'll try it n see if it works. btw i'm having trouble with with my other AID disk, most of the time it wont boot n the xbox thinks their is no disk in the drive, i burned it to both a cd-rw n also a cd-r n the cd-rw works more than the -r. any chance a dvd-r wood work better?
Some xbox drives are fussy with what media they read - I only ever use DVD-R, you might want to check out the HQ compatibility list to save you from buying something thats not gonna work :
