Keep in mind that Ebay is an auction site, so they will come and go. I found both of mine on Ebay, but I had to wait until the ones I wanted showed up. Try to Google "buy/purchase L01Y500". That should pull up sites that sell what you are looking for. Also, try Tigerdirect.com, bestbuy.com, or techdepot.com. I can't give you a definite place to find it, so all I can tell you is don't give up the search. _________________

I take that remark as sarcasm. If it is, then it's not welcome here. Dont ask questions if you don't like the help someone tries to provide. I was clearly saying don't give up your Ebay search. Maybe I took it the wrong way, but I'm taking it the way it was sent. Good day and good luck on your own. _________________

Apology accepted. Please understand that any comments left in a thread are solely for your assistance. Like I said before, any help that is given should be appreciated. Otherwise, people should go to Xboxscene.com if they would like to ask questions and get no help. This is the best Xbox help site around and answers will eventually come around. Please keep up the sites great reputation. I hope you find the drive you are looking for.
Is there a particular brand you are looking for? I will try to see what I can find for you. _________________

Ok, I'm not a huge HDD expert, but I'm thinking that is possible with a format. What version XBOX do you have? Final Cloud might have to step in here. I'm using a WD myself and haven't had any issues yet. Find Final Cloud and send him a PM with the link attached to ask this question. _________________

I have a Maxtor in mine and have no issues at all. I would keep a eye on Tigerdirect and Newegg. Its the holiday season and those sites run deals all the time you just need to wait for it to hit your price range. Is your xbox already modded or is it stock? If its modded you could use chimp to copy your C and D drives over to new drive. I have one more site that posts all kinds of things and I see Hard drives once in a while but it might be somewhere to check daily.

Ok, Maxtor, Seagate and Western Digital seem to have no problem in an Xbox. Most can be locked and unlocked with ease and should give reliability and functionality. I've always used Maxtor drives myself because they combine solid and reliable performance with reasonable pricing.
