i have acuired 5 different versions of xbmc and all of them the i install will not work...ive even tried the reliable sources..... i wonder what im doing wrong...what happens is i goto my apps menu...select xbmc....and it says launching for 3 seconds...then goes back to the evox screen..
im runnin evox 3935 evox m7 bios , and a xenium ice solderless on a v1.0 xbox...... i put the files in the drive as follows e:\apps\xbmc

hi mate,
We have the latest XBMC here available for our VIP members instantly!
I can bet you that our version is 100%.. God knows where you got your other versions from.. Probably #IRC which is virus ridden!
anyway, If XBMC files are not corrupt you may need to delete some files from your TDATA or UDATA directories..
DJB knows more about this so i will email him a link to this topic and hopefully he will let you know..

Yup.
Just basically go to a game save manager of some sort and delete any old saves that XBMC makes before putting in a new version.
I've had this prob a while back myself, before I figured it out

hmm, you mean delete the save games using my xbox dash?? could i some how back up my saves? im kinda real far in vice city and a few other games like medal of honor, hehe.

oh yeah...it has never had a working copy of xbmc on it, hehe. would game saves still be a problem?

To take this one step further, would deleting any old saves that XBMC makes allow the Shoutcast to work? Crap, here's the issue. I upgraded the XBMC from here last night to the newest version. Everything seems to work just great EXCEPT the damn shoutcast. It says something about invalid url when I try to refresh the stations. Right now, they are just blank folders (about 50 of them.... sheesh). Interestingly enough, my XBMP will shoutcast just fine. What the h*ll did I hose?
