well folks, i was right, everything i did on the install of xbmc was a 100% correct. and the file was not corrupt. the only thing that i did different was that i bypassed flash ftp altogether and used samba instead, (from what i hear it was a more reliable way todo it), but from my experience it had to of currupted the files during the transfer. so i guesss ill be buying flash ftp, hehe. so if you all ever run into a problem where you cant get somethin to fire up, and you have set up the program exactly the way you were told, if you dont have a good method of transfer it'll be screwed. it mey even show that all of your files are there, which happened in my case, right down to the ones that didnt matter, i counted them all. so i say "Thank You DJB" for being patient and helping me through this, im sure you were tired, hehe. and i give a big bird to all of those in a certain irc room, which those people said that im a idiot and didnt follow the directions, instead of spending the 10 minutes that it could have taking to track down the problem. i swear sometimes when people set up these help channels in irc, they forget why they put them there in the first place, and get upset when people ask a question that might be challenging....welll i didnt come on hear to complain about irc...but from a few lessons i learned...its just better off to stick to the forums. thx xbox-hq. and good luck to everyone else who decides to install media center, hehe. peace

Glad you got it working mate..
I know what you mean though with most websites and #IRC rooms..
What a joke.. Why bother having them if you cant help!
This is the exact reason why XBOXHQ.COM was started.. I was sick of the same thing in the early days when there wasnt any information around..
So i start XBHQ and now we have one of the most user friendly forums around.. Doesnt matter what your talking about!
Our member go out of their way to help others.. Its only going to get better and better..
WE DO NOT PUT UP WITH FLAMING or OTHERS WHO ARE TOO LAZY TO HELP!
