Welcome to the HQ and we hope you enjoy the site and forum.
The error 7 code comes from a lose or broke ide cable.
Check your ide and make sure its pushed all the way into the mobo the disc drive and the harddrive.
If that dont fix it try replaceing the ide cable with a new one or one you know works.
Again welcome to the HQ.

Might want to check the ide pins on the mobo disc drive and hard drive and make sure you dont have any bent over.
Error 7 is allways an ide prob or a bad trace, lets just hope its the ide.

there the little "lines" all over the motherboard... there actually metal leads running from place to place... if you have replaced the ide, and made sure its seated tight and that none of the pins are missing from the motherboard the dvd drive or the harddrive connections then "carefully" take out your motherboard and "inspect" it. what you would be looking for is any "burn" or "brown" or anything out of the ordinary... along the lines in the motherboard. _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:
