I finally figured out how to stream audio and video from my pc to my xbox. i was wondering if there was anyway to make it a little easier to view, right now i open the video section and i have to go into my network and then shared folders and through all that and to open the video i have to select the actual lead ifo which kinda sucks. I thought that i could stream the videos in with a little icon or something so i didnt have to do a bunch of button pushing once i got into the folder.
basically im asking if there is an easy way to make my video and music files well organized through xmbc while streaming them.... and even for that matter all my apps are nowhere to be found in the programs link. I can access them all from the file explorer tho..>?

When you highlite the link that takes you to your music you can hit the white button and edit the sorce so that when you select music it takes you right to the folder on your pc that has the MP3s.
Here is a little more info from the XBMC guide so you can see what your looking for.

im not getting any code at all when i press the white button on the source folder. i can add it to my favorites and then when i push on the scripts it pops up and i can access it.
im tryin to make it look like an ipod screen i saw somewhere (maybe here) i cant seem to find it again though..... you know open up "music" on the main dash have it take me to the folder and then display it like it looks like an ipod. same for videos

I think you mean the view just hit it a few times and it should come up in the flip style.

You emulator and Apps folders need to be in the root E or F drive and labeld right to show up in xbmc programs screen, if your running an older build you can hit the link under my sig to get the new SVN build of xbmc.
I dont think XBMC has a setting just for keeping you file view settings mine just stick when i change them, might be cuz im useing the newest SVN build.

I think in the setting you can go to the music option and change the source or you can edit the links in the xml, but im not sure about the xml.
