Alright I recently had some issues with my v1.6 and had to rebuild the HD all that went fine and I reinstalled XBMC on it. Well XBMC works completely fine but there are no navigation sounds whatsoever it plays the boot sound for the MC360 skin but thats it. I'm fairly sure its an issue with an XML file but it all worked fine b4 this so it kinda makes me think otherwise. Well any help is greatly appreciated. _________________

This may sound silly (my knowledge of XBMC is limited), but I take it there's no option anywhere to turn the sounds off or anything?

There is an option in the settings to turn the sound off but that wold stop the 360 sound from playing at the launch, you could try changeing the sound settings to the stock PM III skin sounds.

I have noticed alot of people dont realise when you pull down on the RIGHT THUMBSTICK and turn down the volume if you bump it again when its all the way down it will mute..
Are you sure its just not on mute??
anyway, give that a try.
Id chuck in a game and boot it to test if you get sound on the game. If you dont get sound in the game too your in a bit of trouble..

At wes--> Tried changin all the sound settings tried switchin between all the skins I have too and rebootin it with each one same thing they all play the sound at boot but nothin else. I also tried all the different sound packs I have still notta.
At forahobby--> Nope its not on mute, checked that right off the bat. It has all sound during games, in any dash I launch, in other words all sound works in everything but XBMC. I did go back and check my dl manager in Safari and about 0.1mb didn't dl for XBMC and my guess is thats my issue. Strangely though after I listened to some music on it for a while last night the navigation sounds started workin again so I rebooted to see if the problem had somehow fixed itself but it didn't still no sound. I tried to get to do it again but no luck, it must've been some strange fluke or somthin that allowed it to work. Well I guess I'll try to dl the newest T3CH build and see if that works. Any ideas in the meantime would be appreciated. _________________

I wold upgrade and keep my user folder on the PC, if it gets it going by upgrade then add the user folder back to it and make sure it keeps working.

I already got my userdata folder backed up I do it any time I make any big changes with the way I have everything set up. Thanks for the heads up though man. _________________

Will do man. I'm guessin it should work cause if I remember right I had to put a file from an older build in to this to get it to work right but thats been a while and I don't have the old one to get the file to test my theory. _________________
