I have a few games and movies that I want to make a backup copy of, the problem being they wont fit on a DVD-R. Will they work on a DL DVD+R or do I have to buy the insanely expensive DL DVD-R? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Chad

For more compatibility it would be advised to use the -R as it is guarenteed to work in more Xbox DVDROM drives.

With your movies, you should try DVD Shrink which will help you resize / re-edit the DVD down to the size of a normal 4.36gb DVD-R.

Hope that helps...

Are you saying that the DL DVD-R will work or are you saying that the DL DVD+R will work?

Im saying thay will work but xbox disc drives dont all work the same, some will read them and some wont and you never know till you try.

DJB had the best point by useing dvd shrink to crush it down to a stock DVDr.

Most games will fit on DVD-R. There's only a handful of games that need DL. DVD Shrink works like a champ for movies.

I have an unmodded XBOX with music on it that I want to transfer straight to a modded XBOX. I have a crossover cable, but I'm just not sure how to do it. Can't I do this without my computer getting involved?
