Yes, you definately can with a xbox program called 'DVD2XBOX'..
The XBOXHQ Autoinstaller will install it for you or you can install it manually after your have your modchip fitted..

Before you order your chip, read up on some of the pinned topics we have for new modders. There are some things you need to know BEFORE you buy your chip.
Keep in mind, that all modchips will allow you to flash hacked bios' to them. Thus, they all will let you play backups. Where they differ is in how easy they are to install, flash, upgrade, yada yada yada. Plus, some chips have different install procedures for different version xbox's. You need to find out what version machine you have. You will also want to install a larger HD into your machine.
Some people mod their xbox without doing this, but you are really limiting what you can put on your machine if you do that. The stock HD only holds about 10GB of data...giving you about five or six GB to work with.

Cool, that will give you plenty of time to read up and get some more specific questions regarding your mod.
A lot of people dont bother getting prepared and they just jump right in and buy a chip. Then they turn their xbox on and realize that they can't do anything different because they didnt realize they had to format the HD, prepare it, install applications, flash the modchip, yada yada yada.
