I want to completely restore my xbox to how it was before I modded it, I dont get the "uninstal softmod" option and I cant dual boot, tray closed boots evox, tray open boots linux(same screen I get when I load the installer from splintercell) the only restore options I get are restore mod backup and restore MS backup. but when I restore MS, it sas "Updating from xbox live" and I dont have internet connection for xbox live, so it just gets stuck updating and none of the buttons work. HELP PLEASE!

Ok you installed the Hacked dash/ softmod menu option for the duelboot option. What you need to do is uninstall the softmod in the softmod menu. Then start it up again and install the duel boot option. On the second menu it will ask you to choose 2 things, on this menu choose Hacked dash / MS dash. This is the duel boot option you are looking for.

no Im using SID 2.0 and I dont have the means to get a picture right now
but its the blue linux instal screen and the options are...
create ms backup
create mod backup
restore ms backup
restore mod backup
delete ms backup
delete mod backup
install softmod
install evox
install unleashx
patch ms 5960
settings
saves manager
file manager
reset ftp
reset network
open tray
close tray
launch dvd
restart xbox
turn off xbox

then on the left side of the screen it has an x with brachets revolving around it
below that it tells me the space of my c\ e\ f\ drives

does that help?

Wow ive never even seen SID 2.0 so i can't tell you how to uninstall because it should have an option on the menu. Message DJH about this and see, once you get them off though, get SID 5.01. This will make your softmodding be a much nicer experiance.

Go to the SID 5.01 thread in this forum, the first post will be made by DJH. Now click on the botton under his name that says private message. Send your question to him.

I'm in the same situation as the OP. I need to restore a box softmodded with SID 2.0 to stock state in order to sell it. I tried contacting DJB directly, but the link to PM is giving me a 404 error when I try to send.

I did make a backup of the MS Dash (C) and also the Mod when I first installed. I just want to be extra careful, but I think the answer is to restore from the MS Backup, but the problem the dude had worries me...

Any help is greatly appreciated.
