Hi! My first post here, and I'm crying for help already !
I got a modded XBOX a few days ago, and I'm not really sure which mod chip is installed. I have EvoX dashboard installed. Everything worked fine until a few hours ago when I played NINJA GAIDEN. In the main menu I clicked on "Master Ninja..." and I got a message that I need to create a profile or something similar. After "OK", the game threw me in original XBOX dashboard, and I got "Updating from Xbox Live..." message (I wasn't online - cable wasn't plugged in) . After that, I can't boot in EvoX anymore, only original dashboard, which means I can't play DVDs without DVD kit, can't install games on HDD...
So, is there any way I can fix this? Thanks!
P.S.
Sorry for any bad-English...

Well if it does have a chip, then I would recommend that you download Auto Installer Deluxe and try a cold boot but my guess is that it is softmodded. So it may need to be remooded, but try AID first.

Thank you for quick reply! BTW, my XBOX still reads "backed-up games", but won't boot EvoX dashboard...

Me again! I've downloaded AID v4.10 Lite, and it didn't help. I've formatted my XBOX HDD, installed MS Dashboard, installed EvoX dashboard and all aplications. It STILL won't boot EvoX (or any other) dashboard, just original XBOX (M$) dash. I'm stuck!
Any opinions, please? Thanx!

Nope.
My XBOX still reads back-ups, but won't boot anything other than original dashboard no matter what I do (format HDD + clean install of everything).

Well, I just do "one-click install". When it's done, it asks me to restart my XBOX. After I do, it boots M$ dashboard AGAIN! What, the hell, is wrong with my XBOX?

Try using aid to install a dash such a xbmc to the c drive....don't reformat everything just try doing that right now and see what happens...just out of curiosity also, do you have a screen that comes up when you start your xbox to choose a bios...for instance one time my bios got corrupted for some reason and my chip reverted to my ms dash bios and booted that until i installed a new bios again...either way, since you have a chip this matter will get sorted out soon enough..later _________________ Xbox V1.6

Ok, I'll try everything you guys suggest. Just one question, do I install MS Dash first, and then EvoX, XBMC or whatever, or it's vice versa (EvoX first)?

Well, if I don't install M$ dash, it gives me a "green screen of death" with flashing red ring (creepy )
OK, last try. Can someone please tell me EXACTLY what to do and in what order, starting from formating drives. Please!
BTW, is it possible that I need to reflash my BIOS or something? Thanx!
