im new at this and i feel stupid for even askin this but how do i connect my xbox to my pc to get skins ive tried and failed many times.. please help

Its real ez if you have a router just hook the xbox at one end of a cat5, cat6,or cross over cable the other end to the router set your xbox network settings to DHCP reboot the xbox thats it. Very Happy

k ummm the router im using only has 2 hookups the ethernet and the DSL/phone line which one do i hook my xbox up to

What you need is a cross over cable to hook to your pc just go to any pc store and ask for crossover cable.
