I have never changed an eeprom my self, so Im a bit in the dark. A friend was trying to softmod a second xbox using his xenium chip. He installed chip that he borrowed from his box (I assume it had a backup of his eeprom on it from 1.what ever model). He used aid 2.0 and made it into config magic. Some how he coppied his eeprom to the new board. The new board is a 1.6b I believe. When tried to reboot, it just hangs with not even a splash screen. Just flashing red light ring and slow fan speed. After I tried booting many times with factory virgin hdd, nothing. One time it came to flash screen and error 06. But most of time, it wont even boot at all. Is this mb salvagable? Or a paper weight now? At my disposal I have a xenium modded xbox version 1.4, a soft modded xbox version 1.0, xenium ice chip, aid 2.0 through 4.0 and network set up to work with. Well about all i can tell you is if you can't boot it with or a chip or anything, then your done for. Unless you can find a way to get config magic running again you might be done for. Try cold booting with the AID disk in, it might make the disk start then you would be that far. If you can't get that then i think your in trouble. _________________

Take the hdd out and see if you can boot it with the chip if you can let me know and I will tell you how to fix it. If you have YIM you can hit me up there. xbox_hq_6999

Ill keep trying. Out of 30 or so attempts to boot, I did get to the xenium screen on, then foolishly tried to go into normal boot from there but locked again. AID no luck either.
