Hello I am currently using m8+ on the X2.0lite xbox 1.1(I think)
Is this the best bios to use? I am getting ready to reformat the drive and reimage using AID. I have been using slayers. Sometimes the xbox will not book getting the blinking red and green. Machine has been chipped for years. I updated the bios a while ago to to m8+ and I am thinking that is the cause. The wires feel secure still I check the other day.

m8+ works fine, but id recommend using the latest X2 bios
its something like 4981 or 4983 something like that.

The latest X2 bios is X2 5035 I would use that but make sure you use the 1MB version of the bios. It should be on the AID disk if you burned it with the update packs.

Could you explain why its best to use 1mb and not 512? Isn't the xecuter 2.0 lite have 2 banks at 512k each? Some guides say to do 512 and others say 1mb. I'm on verson 1.0 xbox. Thank you

Yeah that's the chip. If I remove the Bank/Bios Jumper, the Xbox won't even boot up so I'm guessing bank 2 doesn't have a bios.
I'm not doubting Burner6999, but some people say it is better to install 512k bios on each bank since if one screws up you can use other or something. What are the benefits of using both banks and installing 1MB?
Also how do I install bios on Bank2 since the Xbox won't even start, it just flashes red/green. I can get it start if I remove the jumper to disable the modchip though. Thanks

Incase you would like to have these bios here load your current dash and the other load a different one. Theres other reasons im sure like backup as you said.
