hi pple
just a question. i've go my x3 installed on my xbox and want to play my imports. Can i play my imports online?? without getting penalised by MS.? _________________ _______________________________________

Can you get them to play with the chip off? If not, then definitely no. If you can, then I suspect you'll be OK. I haven't heard of M$ keeping track of what video systems (NTSC-US, NTSC-J, PAL) you're using, although they should be able to. Even if they do, I've never heard of them banning anyone over it.

Here's the bottom line... M$ is in the video game business to make money. THEY DO NOT WANT TO BAN MODDERS... THEY WANT EVERY SINGLE MODDER TO SUBSCRIBE TO XBOX LIVE! They will ban you if you log on with a modchip because they are afraid you'll cheat and piss off the non-modders... the shrinking, but still vast, majority of Xbox users, who account for the majority of XBL fees.
If M$ bans you, it hurts them, too. If you are banned, you have two options... 1) cancel XBL & M$ loses your subscription fees, or 2) buy another Xbox & M$ loses (rumor is they lose a fair amount on each console). Therefore, they REALLY DO NOT want to ban you! But they will, if you log on with the chip enabled, in order to protect to the majority of XBL users.
I think this is why we don't hear of people being banned for having an aftermarket HDD. While M$ certainly doesn't condone modding, I think they have come to accept the fact that we are here to stay... at least for the time being. They very well may SCAN your Xbox, but, with the chip turned off, they're not going to BAN your Xbox

sorry, ive asked this a lot of times, its just that i am paranoid.
if i did get banned then i would personally write to bill gates and say that ur a greedy f*k. i wouldn't have got banned if u released guilty gear in europe u bastard. y the f*k ur cheating company decide that europe can't get games like kof 2003 and why the f*k europe are the last to get games- u wanker. i would then tell him how to run the company and ask for a bmw x5 so i can drive it through his ass. i would then sue for emotional trauma. _________________ _______________________________________

Actually, your anger may be a bit misdirected. My understanding of the process is it the publisher who decides which regions will get a particular game....

BUT, one of the reasons a publisher would decide NOT to release a PAL version of an NTSC game is the fact that M$ charges them an additional license fee for distributing in other regions. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

but it still doesn't explain why certain regions get games b4 us, like mk deception. a lot of people are playing these games already and u feel that ur missing out. i mean this problem has been addressed a zillion times, but y do they still decide that other regions should get games b4 others.
