I have Xbox v1.1, bought the xecuter 2.6 and the install went well. Flashed with X2.4983, loaded UnleashX and added a 200 gig HD. Everything was running well, Apps loaded up were running well and put a few games on the HD. While playing Halo off the HD it froze, had to restart manually and then it all went BAD. The box turns on for 1 second then off, then back on for 1 second and then off, then back on and stays on with no Video display and a flashing Green to Red LED. Playing around with the switches does nothing...what do i need to do to get my xbox back into some type of working state? Is it fubar-ed or what? Any help is appreciated!

If you used a solderless adapter, check to make sure your chip isn't loose...
Or, did you solder?

Did you use a multi-meter to check for continuity? Trust me...there have been times that i have done what I thought were factory installs man.... and I fragged. Only recently have I started checking for continuity prior to reinstalling the mobo and firing it up.
I am not saying that your problem is definitely your soldering, I have been hearing more and more people having immediate frags over bios related issues, but it's still worth checking.
later man

Hey thanks,
Yeha i will look into that. I talked to the company that sold me my chip and they said they'd be willing to replace it cuz upon closer look it seems like the chip has some heat damage on one of the integrated circuits. He figures that might be the problem or else just a bad bios. I will try that out and let you know. In the mean time if anyone has any more suggestions im open to them. I forgot to mention that i even threw the old HD back in and the same thing happens.
thanks
