I have a xbox which was fitted with 2.3b lite plus. I flashed the chip and installed slayers 2.5 with no probs. Used it for about 4 or 5 months and it started acting up. First you would put a game into it (back up one) and it would say game in the upper right corner then i would hit the A button and the game would get stuck on the evolution x screen. Sometimes it would shut off quickly then turn back on. So i took my xbox top off and checked for lose connection. Then all of a sudden the chip didnt work at all the blue LEDS glowed and the green LED on the Switch box glowed but would only get the microsoft dash and word. So then i Bought the programmer got the parallel cable the x2 cable.exe etc. Reflashed the bios with the programmer and verified it succsessfully. Put it back in properly no luck. I did this with like 4 diff bios. Then i got the 2.6 chip new. Placed that in my box and got it to show the flash bios 2.6 screen. Chose flash from the hd and it flashed a few times loaded and never shut off though by itself. So i made a bios cd and flashed the bios with the disc it loaded and said done and then the xbox shut off. Then I turned back on my xbox and it shuts offs really fast and back on then off. Then frags. So I said f#&@ it took off the chip completly and now it turns off back on then off again then frags constantly. Basically my xbox wont do anything at all. I dont know what the f#&@ to do. I dont know what i did wrong. Please help. PLease tell me i dont have to trash my xbox. Jaw

Actually, when you think you have your chip installed properly it isn't always.
You can get the lights like you are supposed to, but it isn't correct. Try again to place the chip and slightly move it until it is working. Try that and let me know what you find. _________________ "Modding the world, one xbox at a time"

Only frags even when i take the modchip out. Basically my xbox is worthless right now. It just turns on then off then back on then frags no matter what i do. Jaw

Wish I could tell you this is wrong, but it isn't... you can only use the LEDs as guidelines... I've had those dang things lit like the chip was all set, but the chip still didn't wotk. You have to tweak a little sometimes. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Yeah, and I think I have about sixty different types of frags...
My rule of thumb is, but I noticed it's not 100% accurate, if it turns off and on then frags as soon as you power up....nine times out of ten it's your chip placement, soldersplash, bridges, or other chip install related issues.
If you get to your chip OS, you see a splash screen, get video of some sort, then you frag....it's typically software related.
I have rarely seen immediate frags without video due to software ie; dashfiles.
I love when you get a frag, fix it, then when you try to load dash you get a frag with an error 13, make changes, then get a frag with error 21, fix it, then get a frag with error 5.....etc..etc...etc... HA.
Then it's like a friggin mission! You just have to figure it out. I haven't met a frag yet that has won!
