I would just like to advise anyone from doing any business with da-goat. He is a total scam artist. I paid him for a modded xbox over 2 months ago. After a month went by with empty promises from him about shipping it I filed a dispute with PayPal. After that I received no more communication from da-goat and he didn't responds to the PayPal claim either. PayPal found in my favor for the claim but since da-goat has already withdrawn all the money from his account I am screwed. I really wanted an xbox and now I'm not even gonna get my money back to try to buy a different one. Buyer be warned.

Ok first of all, Da-goat did not scam you. Goat has been here on HQ for a long time and he is a trusted member of the community. He recently had some personal issues that prevented him from completing some of his work.
There have been post here desrcibing the situation. I will look for them and update this post for you. Ask before you start flamimg somebody, thats what us admins are here for. I will contact im and see whats going on. In the meantime just relax, this will get resolved trus me. _________________

Funny, there was no mention of you. I think you had better pm me with some personal details as real name and such, so i can call da-goat and confirm this.
Because after all this went down and about a few months later another pops up, its a little suspcious too me. _________________

Yes, i agree, i have seen people "flame" him. But from what i have heard in more than just the above post, he really is trusted and if you are trying to scam these people who do nothing but work there ases off (besides work work) to help people with there modding, then u need to leave! _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial

Well sorry guys, but i too have been a victim of da-goat. I just pmed hellblazer for help, but here is my story. I sent da-goat my xbox to him about 4 months or so ago and he has told me that he was going to send it to me a dozen of times, and still no xbox. I sent it to him so that he could fix and mod it, he said that he had everything ready to go and it was waiting at ups for him, but still no xbox. For the last couple weeks i have tried to email him(around 10 times) and there were no responses. I have his number, but i do not want to go that far, but seriously, i have no idea how to mod/fix an xbox but i think it does not take over 4 months. So i am getting very angry with da-goat, and if he doesnt respond to me soon, i am going to pay him a little house visit.
p.s. i payed him for the repairs and the mod, o and i payed for return shipping, so obviously he should have no hesitation to ship it out. PLEASE WILL SOMEONE FIGURE OUT WHAT THE F@$K IS GOING ON WITH DA-GOAT!

What do you want me to PM you to prove this? WIll the PayPal resolution in my favor be enough proof? Funny thing is PayPal found in my favor and I still don't get my money back. What do you need me to PM you to prove this? All I want is an Xbox or my $160 back.

I'm sorry but i just noticed that you only have a total of 2 posts and both of them being in this topic. Now obviously, if you would have been here before and spoke with Goat, you would have more than 2 posts.
Not only that but Goat stopped modding about 3 months ago. I suggest you pm Hellblazer the info you have so we can look into this further. I'm not boubting you because stranger things have happened, but as of right now, you dont have much to stand on. _________________

If PayPal is approving a "buyer protection" claim, then regardless of the sellers account status, I believe they refund you anyway. Unless of course there are different levels of buyer protection. What good is ruling in your favor if they don't refund you?
Now, I am unsure if there is a difference between seller protection and buyer protection, but I have been on both ends of the spectrum and PayPal has taken care of me and the other party regardless of my account balance.
The only thing that I can think of is, I have seen ebay auctions where an auction states "PayPal buyer protection up to $1000.00" and so on. And, I have seen auctions where this statement does not exist. In a case where the seller didn't meet certain criteria PayPal may not offer the protection.
Regardless of this situation, get the info to hellblazer that he has requested and I am sure he will get you some answers. He knows DaGoat personally and if you can provide some specifics like proof of payment, invoices, emails, etc... he can get his verification done and get you some answers. _________________ Xbox 1.4

Yeah, thats what I thought too. I guess not. Ill think twice before using PayPal for something like this again. I really thought PayPal was the safest bet and have always got my money back when there was a problem. Maybe they recently changed their policy.
Is this proof enough for anyone? Why would I need to lie about this? The reason I had 0 posts is that I came here looking to buy a modded xbox. I read some reviews about da-goat and I PMed him. I didn't have any need to post until I got ripped off.

Since I got ripped off I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with a trade since I don't have the cash for another one. I have TONS of PC equipment and will gladly trade someone for a modded xbox. Basically I am looking for any Xbox with which I can play copied games from the Hard Drive. I do not need a large hard drive in it as I can install that myself (I have plenty of them). Just an xbox that is capable of playing copied discs and games directly from the HD. I have tons of PC parts available for trade. Anything you could possibly imagine so just let me know what you would want for that xbox.
