does anyone know how to get on xbox live with a copy of halo 2

For one, you cant, you will get banned instantly, you have to use originals to get on LIVE.
And you only need to hit the submit button once. _________________

Actually you can. I have been with Neon when he has done it many times and he was using a burned disc to mod old maps. And the only thing that you get banned is your gamertag not the xbox eeprom. And even if you are not modding there is a way to use a burned Halo 2 disk.

Uhhh no, I dont know where you got your info from but they ban the eeprom and harddrive serial so you cannot go on live again, which would involve changing your eeprom and harddrive in order to get back on live.
PS: You gotta be running out of email addresses in order to sign up for a new live account all the time, as most people like to keep thier gamescore dont ya think. _________________

I totally agree with what you are saying but that is only if you are hardmodding that you will get your eeprom banned , I am talking about using a burned disc in an unmodded box. All you need to do is first make a iso from the halo 2 files. Then make a copy of that iso, now you should have 2 copies of it on your pc hard drive. Now use C-XBOX to extract the files to a folder, when you have them extracted you can make the changes to the .map files that you want to. Now this is the very important part- when you re-create the Halo 2 iso from the files that you have just modified you need to make sure that your new iso file size exactly matches the old iso file size, if they don't match it won't work. Burn it to a disk with your favorite software and you are set to go..almost..You now a dvd drive in your xbox that will read your burned disc being that your xbox is not modded(to prevent banning of eeprom). I recommend, and have used, a Samsung SDG-605 version B. This will read all types of media and is a very good drive. I know it says I'm a n00b here but I have been modding for a long time. K, well we don't discuss halo modding here, so topic needs to be locked.

OK, just wanted to help out a fellow modder with something I personally know works. Im not trying to prove I am right to you because I know I am, I have seen it work, I can show you it working on old maps,btw they dont bann your eeprom for softmodding. have fun on your little website

do alittle research they do ban any modification no matter if it is a hardmod or softmod, if you use the mod on live and it is on then say good bye, alot of us know becuase we have had that problem were we got banned, 2nd we dont allow discussing of halo modding, and 3rd the info in the eeprom will get banned even if you mod halo 2 and get caught. take it from some senior modders. _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

Eeproms definitely get banned..hence, the reason a shit load of people are looking for eeproms

I have a question maybe its none of my buisness. why dont you just use the original disc and not worry about it? Or maybe you dont have the origanal discs. and just to let you know that everyones right they do ban your eeprom and hdd serial. I should know because I have a banned xbox at my house right now.
