i have loads of mp3+g/cd+g karaoke tunes on my pc, is there any way i can use the media center to play the tunes on my xbox, using it as a karaoke machine,,where the words come up and all that,,i already have it networked to the pc, and its excellent for music and videos, but this really would be an added bonus,,thanks in advance,,

yes, you can definately play mp3s and cd files on the xbox. If you are asking how to put them in the xbox, it is a simple task. Either burn them on a disc, and use the media center's file manager to locate and play them. Or, ftp them straight into the xbox in F:\music or E:\ music, depending on whichever directory u have prepared.

Thanks for the fast reply, but i know i can move them there, or burn them to disc, but i really wanted to keep them on the pc, and use the xbox (networked to pc) to play the cd+g files, when i open up my network connection, and the folder containing the files, it simply shows the mp3/wave side of the cd+g file, but not the cd+g file itself, therfore it plays the music fime, but sadly no graphics appear for wouldbe singers to chant along with,,any ideas if this can be done,,,hope this makes sence,,,,cheers,,,by the way cool forum,,,

hey bogyman, you have to enable karaoke from the settings menu. But yes, it does support cd+g karaoke files. the setting are probably under settings>my music>karaoke>'enable cd+g' or something to that effect. there are also setting for pitch and other things, but I have never messed with the karaoke feature...hope it works out for you.
