Ok i recently got xbmc. I had a weather setting problems but greven helped me fix it. Now that works. But when i go to programs and launch soemthing like a game, or app, it doesn't work. I highlight the selection and press A and it appears on a black screen. After this nothing happens, even after waiting a while nothing loads up. Even when i try to launch the dashboard from xbmc, it doesnt work, it just goes black. Although it detects the dashboard network settings. Can someone help me out here plz?

make sure (to ensure compatibility and smoothness) you're using a build from XBMC, or one off my FTP server/Downloads section. Make sure, also, before you upgrade/change versions, that you delete the game save for XBMC, and completely delete all old versions. DO NOT dump over an old one, it will do nothing but cause you headache.

You do not need to delete the games, just the gamesaves for xbmc

Where are these gamesaves, I just tried upgraded my XBMC with the version from AID 3.0 (my version was really old). I tried to used XBMC to FTP two xboxes. now I have a screen comming up on the old xbox that says:

XBMC fatal error
Q:XboxMediaCenter.xml, Line 0
failed to open file

then it starts up the FTP.

I can FTP to it from my computer but I with Cxbox, but i can't copy the file from E: into the Q:. Any Suggestions?

cheers
Chris

Your "fatal error" just means that it can't find the .xml file. So here's what you do. Go to the drive you installed XBMC to (using FTP) and copy the "Xbox Media Center.xml" to the same directory as the "default.xbe" of XBMC. Reboot, and you should have full access to your XBMC build.
