I know how to normally set in a larger HD as i have doen this a few times - i have gotten a lot of help from here ...

Anyway I backup my C and E folder from th XBOX ORG drive.

Then i inserted the files into XBOXHDM and i did put in the Eeprom.bin file from > C:\xbox\E\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\backup .
Then the Eeprom is placed in the Xboxhdm folder callede Eeprom ..

I made the iso with the make-iso-win (from xboxhdm).

I then unpluggede my PC HD and started up the cd with the NEW HD i wanna use in my xbox.

I do the make new xbox hd from scrat thingy and i selet copy c and e from xboxhdm .

I then come to the part where i need to lock the drive , now its here things are going wrong!

I try and lock it and it WONT!

I dont understand this , It should be the right EEprom as its the right folder i have copiede it from ?!

+ I have for some time ago used this HD and back then it worked fine ..

I dont know if this could matter but i have gotten a new version of XP callede WIN XP media center before i had just Win XP Pro .

Any help would be very much appricated .

is your new hd lockable?

check the hdd database

its . I have used it before on anothr xbox and back then it locked just fine.. Confused

dont know wheter or not the windows xp change can effect this but i tested with another HD to and that also wont lock ...

so maby its my Media center version of xp that is doing this mess to it Question

Just to be sure i have to use the eeprom.bin in the folder udata from the E drive right Question

The folder in Backup in C drive is Fake , but if its then how come they have the same hdkey etc Question

wich version sid did you use?

did you use virtual c?

I used version 2.0 Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v2.0.Xbox-Hq.rar file.

I did not use any virtuel drives .

I followed the guide from the letter to letter.

Is there anything else i need to write Question

I did use a guide which is also posted here at HQ and other sites and it has worked before>
