XBOX CHIMP 2.6 Tutorial for the Xbox v1.6
About half way down the page you will see the new revised edition of this guide.

First off, I had no help and had to go into this blind because unlike this tutorial all the rest of them told you how to setup then said "The rest is up to you" which is BS.
So bear with me..
NOTE: When I used Telnet the display was messed up and halfway understandable..
Now this is what I did...Do what you will...
SETUP:
XB: On your Dashboard access the system and goto Network
-Set IP to anything above 192.168.0.4
-Check the box on HTTP Proxy
-Set your Port from 21 to 23
XB:
-Do the usual opening.T20,T15,T10.....(Torx Drive)
-Plug a y-connector on the power to have power to both HDD's...(Hard Drive Disks)
-Slightly Remove the Ribbon from the DVD-Rom...(Easier Access)
-Have the original HDD jumpered to Master...
-Have the new HDD jumpered to Slave...
Accessing by Telnet
(*Note: Make your XB IP STATIC and anything above 192.168.0.4)
1.XB - Run Chimp ( Screen will fuzz up and go green)
2.PC - Access Command Prompt (Start/Run type CMD press Enter)
3.PC - Command Prompt type telnet 192.168.0.3 press enter (username: root Pass: xbox)
(*NOTE: characters for pass will not appear and it took me a few times for it to work.)
4.PC - Now you will be at the chimp menu. (mine is kinda garbled but the important things you can see)
Chimp Menu guide:
(*NOTE: use number keys, arrow keys and ENTER only!)
1. Press 1, enter - It will scan, when its done youll see exit just press enter and you will be taken back to the Main Menu.
2. Press 2, enter - it will say about to scan press enter, after scan press enter
3. Then it will Say - Choose yes will wipe out and reformat this disk Press left arrow, then Enter.
4. HD cloning from /dev/hda to /dev/hdb menus, press 1 (full disk), then Enter
5. HD cloning from /dev/hda to /dev/hdb menus, press 1 (blind), then Enter
6.NOW it will have C-drive and E-drive listed (these are the c: and e: that you are acustomed to ftp'ing to and from) Start with C, JUST PRESS ENTER.
7. IT will Say (DEVICE CLONING) THEN (CLONING FROM /dev/hda to /dev/hdb with either 50 or 51 next to them.(*Note: on the left I notice it counting up ##+0 Records in and ##+0 Records out, the ## is the number that goes up, mine goes up to about 500+1 and its done)
8.REPEAT STEPS 2-7 BUT THIS TIME INSTEAD OF C PRESS DOWN TO E AND PRESS ENTER.
9.When that is all done, at Main Menu Press 3 to lock slave, press enter.
10.Xbox Hd Locking tools Menu, press 1 (from Motherboard), press Enter.
11.Password Generated from Motherboard, choose yes to lock, Press Left, then Enter.
12.It will Say Done!!!!!! Just Press enter to go back to the Main Menu..
At Main Menu Press 6, then Enter to Exit back to the command Promtp...
Now POWER OFF YOUR XBOX, SWITCH THE JUMPER PIN TO MASTER ON THE NEW FRESHLY CHIMPD HDD AND PUT YOU BOX BACK TOGETHER WITH THE NEW HDD IN PLACE...
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
