on a hard modded xbox it is no problem to leave the HDD unlocked (unless of course you take the chip out )

do both Xecuter 3 CE chip and xap3tr need 5v power???
No right since the 5v will be installed on the solderless xap3tr, the modchip should get 5v from the solderless right?
Digging at team-xecuter's site cant find a guide to instal the new xap3tr solderless adapter or will the old one (xapter) do just fine?
Except for allinging the D0 point ofcourse...

what im asying is, what if his chip gets messed up, then hes stuck without an xbox unless he keeps that hdd locked, u get me?

Yeah guys, i think ill keep it locked just to be certain..
I'm not gonna trip it to my pc anyway...
Just not worth 10 gb in pc while there's a 500gb there already...
I'm gonna lock it up in a box then keep it save just to be shure...

if it gets messed up you get another, chip failures are quite rare. its generally user error. On a hard modded box you are best to leave the HDD unlocked

were is it still in the xbox right well this one is going to be removed so if you remove it and the hard drive key changes or you wish to use in other xbox it will not work if its locked
i done this longer then well over 5000 post over at team-xecuter and have not just done one xbox like your self by the sound of it

Ok boobs, let me do that then, i have a unlock option in the x3 bios right ??
By the key code you mean something like a unique code generated to reconize that the hd belongs to the xbox it's installed on, thus meaning when you don't unlock it and try to put it in a other xbox, the xbox would not reconize the hd because that xbox did not generate the key thus unlocking it would give the next xbox the option to put the key code in thus locking it.
Am i thinking right like this?

yes that it as well if you change the mother board the hard drive can be used
there is two ways to unlock it x3 config or flashbios use it only after you have flash it with x3 bios and it works
heres a guide on how too save your xbox eeprom to your x3 chip as well to you pc for safe keeping but if all go well you will never need to use it
