Okay, I just recently bought a Seagate Barracuda 80Gb 7200rpm UDMA100 Hard Drive, and fitted it into my Xbox.
Everything seems to be running fine, however a copy of Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory I had on a DVD-RW ceased working, even when ripped to the HD. Other games I've had on DVD-RW still work fine, along with most games on the HD itself.
I had problems with the retail HD, Unreal Championship 2, the single player simply crashed at a certain point, but ran fine from a disc, as well as XBMC generally hanging and the such. Is this common?
Now I have installed the new HD, one or two of the games aren't functioning properly when run from the HD, is this a bad transfer? Or have I simply purchased a crappy drive that will always do this?
I've had problems with the retail HD before anyway, so I was just wondering how common problems like these are.

If you did a full drive copy, try clearing out your cache in the E drive and the XYZ drives for those games, that was the problem with a lot of people see if it works for you _________________ XBOX v1.6

Acid, you're a lifesaver in so many ways today. I'd cleared XYZ, but forgot about the C cache. Cheers.
I guess I could easily come up with loads of little problems I've put up with, but I'll try not to waste your time.
For some reason though, my XBMC shortcut list resets under Video. I mean, if I rename or edit paths in My Files or My Music, it sticks, but not for My Video. Also can't connect to iTunes in XBMC.
Plus I can't get any of my dashboards to download things, Avalaunch boasts that it can update itself, but I don't know how to set it up.
But you've helped me out more than enough, at least I can get my Chaos Theory on in Kai.

Try renaming in the FTP, I never bother with anything requires an OnScreenKeyboard.
Itunes, sorry, I just downloaded it, and haven't used it yet, only to get my free Pepsi songs.
Then Avalaunch, its easier to just get an actual file so that in case something happens, you can restore it quickly from the HDD _________________ XBOX v1.6
