Hi,
I've just installed the Xenium with the spice adapter on a v1.6 box and everything went fine.....switched on and got the xenium OS.
Set up the retail bios & EvoX M8+ bios as per instructions and installed unleash x and various apps with AID 1.1 (retail HDD).
When i boot to the EvoX bios i get the evox triangle in the corner but no dash the dash only appears when i hit eject again.
Is this normal and just a quirk of the xeniums or is there something wrong ???
I usually install Xecuter chips and they boot sraight to either dash depending on their switch positions........so i assume if you boot to the evox bios on the xenium then unleash should appear.
It just seems a bit long winded to me to have to press eject twice

Hmmm...that is a strange one, but what you could also do is instead of renaming the dash, open up M8 bios using EvTool and change the arrangement of dash.xbe's that the bios looks to. You will see an order like:
evoxdash.xbe
ava.xbe
yada.xbe
Just change the order and put unleash.xbe up to the top and save it. Then, reflash the Xenium with the newly configured M8 bios.

I had a look in the bios with EVTool as you suggested and the only thing i can see that was different was that the boot sequence was slightly different.
The .xbe was named evoX as opposed to evox but anyway easily sorted as you say.......still thought it was odd that it booted to unleash after hitting the eject button for the second time though.
Not to worry....sorted now
