Where does AID and/or SID backup the eeprom to? Is it a file? If so, what file type?

Rather than cretae yet another thread, I thought I would add this question to my other one. It seems I ended up with two copies of XBMC on e: drive after several ins and outs with AID. One is under APPS and the other is in the root. Can someone tell me which one I need and how I might have gotten two of them? Thanks

In the sid options you can tell it to move the eeprom and ms dash backup to the E drive and find it there, if the xbox boots to the XBMC dash then just remove the one in the APPs folder and your good to go.

The dashboard in /ROOT/ is the main dashboard..
The one in the /APPS/ folder can more then likely be deleted.
You probably got 2 of them because you installed XBMC as your main dashboard and then went to the APPS installer section and chose install all apps.. (XBMC is included as well for those not running it as a default dash) _________________ HQ Network:

Thanks. I am running XBMC as an app. I deleted the one in ROOT and all is well.
I've been wondering, is there anyway to get from XBMC back to the booting dash which I think is Evox other than rebooting?

Just by going in to the file manager and selecting the evox xbe or hitting both triggers back and stat at the same time and some work with both triggers back and black at the same time.

I've started using dvd2xbox to copy games to my upgraded hd. I thought I would try to rip to my PC share but I can't seem to do anything with networking on dvd2xbox.
Under both evox and xbmc, i can ftp in. I am using DHCP for the moment.
However, in dvd2xbox it shows no ip address on the main menu screen. When I go to settings and click on network, the application appears to freeze. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed a step. Thanks

With a new install some times the cache can get backed up and full, try clearing the content of you E cache folder and try again.
