...I still need help!!! I did as you said with the Auto-Installer. My first question is, where do I find that PDF document file for it that has the diagrams and such? Also, do I need to switch my media? I downloaded DVDDECRYPTER and burned the ISO with that, worked great. Loaded it onto my Fujifilm and Verbatim *those are my most reliable discs* and both responded in the same way. Instead of the usual "disc doesn't read" message it just simply took me to the regular ol' Xbox dashboard. I consider this *sadly* as an accomplishment since the Xbox either seems to atleast accept the disc, but not fully, or atleast doesnt think it's a wrong type of media. Im using the Xecuter2 Bios, that doesn't mean that my chip has to be an Xecuter does it? And it works with loading Evox right? Because if it doesn....that would sure explain why it isn't working.
Please clear this up Forahobby! I don't want a dead black box sitting in my room forever!
Thank you

You don't need the Xecuter chip to use the Xecuter2 bios. You'll be okay there.
The fact that you are being directed to the MS Dash means that it isn't reading the disk still. Same thing happened to me last night when I was doing a mod.
Do you know what DVD drive you have in your xbox. You can tell by looking at the tray when it comes out.
Here is an older pic I put up a while back to help people tell what drives they have:
Hopefully, you will get a good burn soon so you can install the EvoX dash and all of your other applications on your HD.
good luck

I hate being an annoying newb asking stupid questions, but I've researched this for days and days trying all different methods and I can't figure this out!!!!!! I have a v 1.0 box with a Samsung drive. I have a X2.4983 Bios loaded correctly on my box as well with a X-Bit mod chip installed. Either I don't know what to do next or I'm just doing this wrong...but i've created an xiso file with xISOv115 "evoxxiso.xiso" From there I burn it onto a disc, no excuse me... billions of freaking discs!!! I've almost reached the point to where buying the entire x-box library would have been cheaper than burning as many discs as I have!!! I've used Verbatim CD-RW, Imation CD-R ( CD-R's I know are almost pointless to burn but I did it anyway ), Fujifilm DVD-R *made in Japan*, Verbatim DVD-R, Memorex DVD-RW and a flimsy cheapo Hi-Val CD-R. On loading all of them it simply goes to the Xbox menu and tells me that it's not a DVD or music and that the disc might be dirty. One thing that I've heard to try that I haven't done is using a dummy file. And the only reason I haven't done that is because I don't know how to make a dummy file. It is obviously very simple to do because there is no such tutorial on how to do it, I guess im just stupid as hell and that's why I'm begging anyone for help!!! Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a certain media that's GARUNTEED to boot on any or almost all Xbox's? Is there someone or somewhere I could send my Xbox and they'd load it for me? Some one please help!!!!
Edit: Someone please help...... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
That's all from my old post, Im getting so aggitated!!! I feel like this is impossible. I've heard that Ritek is an almost 100% working disc for booting EvoX, does anybody know about this? Has anyone else out there gotten their Samsung drive to boot EvoX??? Is there anywhere you can send xbox's to have it done?
Please help this NewB out!

I have successfully used generic CDR's, CompUSA brand DVD+R' and -R's, Sony DVD+R's, Maxell DVD+R's in my Samsung Drive.
I have not been able to use Memorex DVD+R's though.
I hope you get it sorted soon, I know how frustrating it can be.
If you hit rock bottom and are totally disgusted, you can ship to me and I'll format your HD for you and add all the software you need.
Email me at sales@themodgod.com if you need any more info on what I can do for you. Don't let it get the best of you...it has happened to all of us man!
