hi i'm totally new to this xbox stuff and i have a small problem i was hoping some one could help me with !!
i have a modded xbox with what seems to be something called a xecuter2 chip..i need to change the hdd to a bigger one and dont have a clue how to do this! when i turn the box on it comes up with a cannot read first part of existing hdd and asks me to insert a cd in the caddy ??
do i need to upgrade some software in it or do i just swap the hdd and it does it itself ? sorry for being a complete noob but as i said i'm completly new to all this.... i'm quiet proficient in the pc department though

you need to get a copy of aid 4.01 or 4.02. you can download the torrent here on the forum. once you get it and get your iso image, burn it to a dvd. pop that disc in your disc drive and then reboot your xbox, along with your new hdd hooked up. now you can choose to install what dashboard you want to and all the applications and etc...
does that make sense?

You could just use Chimp to clone your drive. Much easier, takes about 10 mins.

ta muchly friend but i've never heard of chimp do you know where i can get it from ? and do i put it on a disc and run it from my dvd in xbox..

not a pain...its included with the aid download.

i put in the passcode correctly all the time...

update...just found the torrent for aid...downloading now will try then most prob post her to say how i've knackered it lol

Hi , I got problem loading the chimp 2.4 from AID 4.0 . When I load the chimp , a green screen just hanged and freeze there . Could help me out ? My moded box version is 1.1 . Thanks

If the screen goes green when you fire up Chimp, your Xbox is almost certainly a v1.6. Chimp will not run on v1,6 Xbox's due to the video chip not supporting it.
