SID3 Is Installed, i have like 4 dashboards installed, using xselect.
I'll check if i can boot it, last time i checked it keeps coming up with this message to update your xbox, it keeps coming up.

I'd like to know this as well, here's why:
A friend called me today and asked if I could repair his broken X-Box if he got a new hard drive for it. I said that I should be able too. He doesn't have a mod chip (yet) Should I be able to put his new drive in my X-box (has Xenium S.P. ICE chip in it), format and unlock the drive w/the chip, use Auto-Installer Deluxe 2.1 to install the MS Dash, lock the drive then put it in his box? Or will locking the drive in my box, lock it TO my box (and not allow it to work in his box)

there is a tutorial for preparing a hdd for a softmod using a chipped xbox. although if his xbox isn't working, i bet he doesn't have an eeprom backup eh? i think then he will need to perform a hotswap since he doesn't ahve an eeprom. not exactly sure myself. pirrup!!!!!

what happend with his xbox? is his hd corrupt or did he delete dash files?
if the disk still works but can't boot to dash -> do my hotswap tutorial
if disk is fubar and you don't have an eeprom backup then you need a chip to fix his xbox.
ps a softmodded xbox needs a locked hd with the eeprom from the retail xbox.
