Give us a little more info on what your machine is doing. When you say it won't work connected to your TV, how do you mean. Is it fragging? (Frequent Red and Green light) Are you getting any error codes? And, when you say you had it connected to your PC, were you just doing FTP'ing or do you have a VGA connection so you can play on your PC Monitor? Little more info and we'll help you straight away!
Thanks man _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

sorry for the little info that I gave. Every time I turn on my Xbox the main screen won't come up. It starts up fine ..but after the xbox logo comes up ..it loops back to the begining like if I kept reseting it. The guy said that it is a minor problem ...and that it does that when it is unplugged for more than an hour. He said the reason it does loops back is because the xbox is trying to read the time. He said that all I had to do was plug my Xobox to my pc ethernet so it can read the pc's time ....I tried this twice and it worked . ......but now I am having trouble I don't know really how to do it ......................can you help?................

That's a wild one. I have unplugged my box for hours at a time and never ran into that one, but I guess anything is possible. I don't know if connecting your xbox to a PC can do anything for the time, but I may just learn something here (that happens a lot). Since you said it worked twice for you before, but now it's not are you just saying you didn't remember how you connected it to your PC.
Here are two tutorials that you can take a look at in the interim until some more replies ring in. One of them is a very nice image and explanation of connecting your XBOX to a PC. The other is a basic understanding of how your xbox works. It may give you some insight to the how's and why's of the boot process. I am going to research your issue a little more though, and I know that DJB and others here will help you too. Hang in there.

He thats a new on to me also.
to connect your Xbpx to your Pc thats simple one just do It like this.
Plug your xbox in to the Pc via the nic port.
Then go to your network setting and go to the properties
Then check off the box that says find ip automatically.
Then set your ip to
192.168.0.1
Then set your subnet to
255.255.255.0
Then go in to your ftp client and set it up to
Connect to sever URL 192.168.0.3
User xbox
Pass word xbox
Then hit the connect and you should access your xbox
As for the time thing go to MS dash setting on your xbox and set your time.
It will keep the time saved on it for some time unplugged but not to long .
Yes connecting your xbox to your pc will also set the time on it.

Is your chip a X2.3b lite + self install????
Something like that happened to me and after a while I discovered that it was the D0 contact with the pogo pin. It was not firm. _________________ GaMeS 4 LiFe

you go into your menu and look for one that says xbox game management
that’s the program you want to use once there it is self explanatory.
Put disc in and hit B it should say reading disc then give you the size of game and ask you if you want to copy game hit the button it tells you to hit .
That’s that
Later
hope that helps _________________ Xbox 1.1 & 1.3
