I was wondering if anyone has made use of the usb adapter that comes with the Xenium Chip? I have already figured out it isn't good for external storage or keyboard. Do any of you use it for any purpose? If so, what? _________________ XBOX v1.6

Actually, it will work with USB storage devices and keyboards/mice
You just have to have the right brands of USB storage devices and I personally never used the keyboard or mouse on the Xbox, but they will work. I don't know what you have to lauch as far as programs or anything lik that, but I do know they work.

Yea, the usb is good for storage! I have 2 usb's on my X3 Control panel, I haven't used them yet.
But a long long time ago, when Phantasy star online just came to Xbox, there was a free offer (plus shipping of course) for a memory card insert usb adapter for the keyboard to be plugged in. I figured I should buy it and at least have for who knows when. I used it once for Phantasy Star Online to bring me back to my days on the Dreamcast and all the late nights i put in on it. But it was a pain in the ass, I thought to myself, I HAVE a communicator why not use it.
I know its off topic, but hell, I haven't seen anyone ever mention the MS USB Memory Slot adapter using it. So I am just curious if anyone has used it?? ( didn't want to start another thread) _________________ XBOX v1.6

Well i do know that the xbox does see usb flashdrives as storage space. When i boot in to the retail bios and go to memory it shows my 512 crusri mini as a memory card. Im still in the process of trying to set it up so i can back up my games to my flash drive for easy transfer. If i discovery any more information I'll post it.

I never knew there was an official
MS usb adapter.
I've gotten the hang of making my
own nice and neat now. pulling
the controler breakers apart and
soldering straight onto the
terminals does the trick nicely.
I use a wireless keyboard & optical mouse as well as using my old mp3
players as memory cards.
when you load the ms dash it should
format the device for you, then
just copy over as normal.
UnleashX will reconise them too
but the machine may need rebooting
a couple of times before it see's
them.
