Hi,
Hoping someone can help me out - I'm new to modchips although I've done a few softmods before.
I bought an xbox for a friend's son a few months ago, and there are 2 games that always freeze up right after they load - right before you would get into the "New game", "Load Game" screen. Games are Cabelas Dangerous Hunts 2 and Cabelas Outdoor Adventures.
A few months ago I FTP'd a bunch of games over to his HDD after getting them off my son's softmodded xbox. I'm sure that I tried the Cabelas games out before, and I'm sure that they played fine at one poiint.
He rented a retail copy and it froze too right at the same spot as the one I had put on his hdd. I have changed around the region settings in several different dashboards, although I can't change the Video Settings in his default dash (EvoX) as it is ghosted - I changed them around in Avalaunch and a few others, but had the exact same freezing. All other games seem to play fine.
From what I can gather, the chip is an Xecuter2, with 3.02 flashed.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

also just put the original game in and use dvd2xbox
plus load up ftp and delete the contents of the folder on e:\
called e:\cache
if that doesn't help then i am sure you may find more knowledgable people
to help you.\
cheers

Thank You!!
Deleted all old game saves for those 2 games using the utility in Avalaunch and all is now fine. I appreciate your help and pointing me to that link.
Thanks again!

Good show man, I'm sure final cloud wold agree when i say no matter what the problem might be tell them to clear the cache.
It seems to fix over 25% of the probs that get reported in the forums. LOL

Tis true. Its amazing just how many prob's are sorted by a cache clean. Any freezing / failure to load problems, your first point of call should always be a cache wipe. Those temp files really seem to cause issues, yet its the simplest thing to clear.
I know myself and wes probably say "have you cleared your cache" in our sleep these days!
