hi my dashboard is version 1.00.4920.01
i have auto-installer dulex 3.1 final copyed it from memory card to hard drive
used 007 to load softmod
read manual said i need 3.9 as my dash aint 5960 and i dont have halo or any of the other games menchiond and dont really wonna go buy the game just to update the dashboard
is there any way i can update the dash or any way i can install the softmod with out getting this error msg saying that my xbox needs a service

well first of all you need either
mech assault, 007 agent under fire or splinter cell origionals ( some platinum hits works and others dont safe to get originals ) you need one of these to softmod the xbox (either borrow or buy or rent)
and to update the dash you going to have to borrow, buy or rent one of these games, that is the only way that i know of to update a dash.
to update the dash just insert the disc and it should automaticly do it if not play it for like a minute or two these are the games that should update it
Halo 2
Burnout 3
or any game thats released after 2005
( ps if you have an xbox live acount and dont want it cancel it before the softmod installation goes down its alot easier )

Here is what I would do:
Load 007 and get to your SID menus.
Change your network settings to something that will allow you to FTP to the xbox
Restart the SID
In the SID menus FTP into your xbox
Replace your C: with the 5960 MSdash files. They can be download, and a couple of members have the links in their signatures. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
