ok i have an xenium s.p.ice chip. a 1.4 or 1.5 xbox (dont have the tool to pick the right one) i down loaded the aid and have winrar but it dosent open with winrar it trys to open with adobe reader.

Thats no big deal.
When you download the AID2.RAR files you should have winrar installed like you have.. Then open winrar and drag and drop the first AID2.rar file onto the winrar window.. This should then let you choose the extract button and extract the files from inside.
You should have quite a few .rar files downloaded.. If you only have a .torrent file you need to still download the full program of around 500+mb..
Once you can see a aid2.iso file you just burn that to a dvd-r or cdrw and boot in your modded xbox.

You need to install a bit torrent program onto your pc like AZERUES etc etc.
Then you can download the full 500+mb file after you clicking on the .torrent link on AIDELUXE.COM website.

There are a few sites where you can get Azureus. Just do a search and find one that works. I would post a site, but being that I'm at work the system won't allow me to try them due to internet restrictions. _________________
