I bought a used box from someone. When i go into My Videos I see all sorts of network folders that existed in the previous guys setup. How can I clean this up where it only shows the drives on the box itself and those in my Workgroup?

You FTP into your XBOX, and find where XBMC is installed.
Then you transfer the XboxMediaCenter.xml to your desktop and edit it with notepad.
Delete any unwanted bookmark tags under MY music, My Videos, and My Pictures. Then ftp it back to your xbox and overwrite the old file.
