I can't seem to find the games in kai, they show up on my computer fine, my computer finds my xbox no problems, but for some reason I can't connect to the active game. I tried to submit a tourny on xbconnect, but it didn't show up on the site. The name on xbconnect is xbox-hq.com also.
What do you mean exactly.. Did you try to make a TOURNAMENT on the HQ site?? Or on systemlink game you mean.
So have your forwarded ports for your router.. And you have setup XBMC with all your XLINK KAI info.??
Really thats it.. Then you should be able to join games just like xbconnect.
To tell you the truth you dont even need the xbmc on your xbox.. But it is easier to scroll through all the rooms then get up and down all the time for your pc.

It's all working now, must have had too long of comments, or something, not sure, Thanks hobbs, maybe my dsl will be back online at home tonight, and we can play.
Has anyone tried to create a xlink game along with a LAN game?
Like I have 3 xboxes at my house + i want us all to play in the hq tourny, is that possible? That may be a bit too much for my puny 320kpbs upload speed, but I was just wondering if it were even possible.
Main reason is a few of my friends have moved away to larger uni's but we used to have lan parties all of the time. I thought it may be possible to just have him join our lan party remotely. _________________

Yup i do it all the time.. My mates come around with their xboxes and just connect up to my network.. I only have XLINK or XBC running on one machine and configured to go..
Just get one machine in the room first then all the others will be able to as well.. its really cool.

Damn I hate being NOOB!!!
Let's us pretend for just one second that I know wtf I am doing.
Once I've logged in to Kai, I see all my friends (OR NOT!) awaiting me to join a game so that I can shoot them in the ass while they run like hell from the fury I have unleased upon them.
When I hit play from XBMC, I presume the game would boot and should go to the deathmatch maps directly? Is that right?
Could someone that has successfully run Kai and joined a game tell me how I would know when I've got it right?
This is one part I think I am missing that I need to address tonight.

I can't get XBMC to connect, so I just launch Xlink on the pc, launch the game on my xbox, then chhose multiplayer and it shows me whats available on the T.V. screen. Then I just choose the game I want to join. _________________

So you are simply starting the Xlink engine on the PC, starting the game on the Xbox then I assume through system link, it would show me all available games? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Shark,
First you start by running Xlink-kai on your PC then when it's running you begin by selecting the system you have, in this case Xbox. Then you select what type of game you want, like FPS, driving, Platform...... Once you have decided what format of game you want you are then presented with a list of all the games in that catagory, for example if you choose an FPS game, in the list you would find halo and halo 2. You then proceed to enter the arena for the game you want to play, such as Halo 2 and you are presented with all of the arenas that are running Halo 2 at that very second. You then simply choose which arena you want to play in, but make sure and look at the details of the arena before you try to enter. It may have a limit on the amount of players, or it may be password encrypted. Provided the server isn't full or password protected, or even if it is, once you have the password you can enter the arena.
Now, once you are in the arena (bare in mind that you should know what game you want to play before doing all this and make sure to have it running on your Xbox) go to your xbox, and go to multiplayer mode, then to the system link section - NOT XBOX LIVE!!!!!!!!! - and get it to search for games. At this point it should find the game that is being hosted in the arena on Xlink-kai. Join that game and have fun.
Always remember the golden rule of deathmatches - f#&@ everyone, it's every man for himself!!!!
Any more questions, let me know.

Also, i never have run XBMC to play Xlink-kai, i just run UnleashX as my dash and run the game and Xlink-Kai manually. Works every time.

All too frustrating.
Damn box sees the chats, sees the arenas and all that sh*t.
Go to a game like Halo2 then I go to System Link and search and nothing is there.
The Kai software sees the box as successful, network card locks, it's reachable and yet launch a game and it's acting like I'm alone.
I wonder if my router can't handle forwarding 0.0.0.1.
The box is doing all the net stuff fine but invoke that zero ip and blam. Nothing but static. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Hey Shark, check the port forwarding on for your xbox. It might be blocked. That's wierd that KAI sees the box but the box can't connect. I would say its defenitely something with the xbox ports.
I had that problem when I first tried to connect for about 3 hrs. Then I went to Chilis, had a few drinks came back and messed with the router settings and it has been working since. Had I not been wasted I would probably remenber what I did.. _________________
