Hey guys i just bought a new video card and everything goes fine all games and what not but when i try to watch a video it cant see it i can hear it but cant see anything exept a black screen where the video should be could anyone help me with this plz? _________________

More then likely its just drivers..
You may need to reinstall your xp etc with your new card already installed.
Apart from that try updating all drivers. Im sure you will get it

It didnt work i whent to the nvidia site and got the latest drivers uninstalled my old ones then installed my new one and my screen whent fuked like i meen fuked you couldnt see shit i had to sit there for about 2 hourse trying to get into conrol pannel and uninstall the new drivers i could barely see but i did it amazingly lol so yeh that didnt work have you or anyone here got any other ideas? _________________

I didnt actually try to reinstall windows but what will this do just reinstall windows? its not gonna delete all my shit is it? and what about all my hardware drivers after i reinstall windows will i have to reinstall all my hardwares drivers?
P.S i just successfully updated my geforce 6600 gt drivers without error and it still didnt change my original problem (not bieng able to see video) _________________

Personally i think Either the card is faulty (which i doubt) or your have a driver problem.. Apart from that i cant see any reason to cause this unless it has that many optoins on the card that it could become confusing.
I would reinstall windows from scratch just to be certain but doing that will cause you to lose all your information, emails etc etc.. you will need to backup all your info and then rebuild.. But thats up to you.
Anyway, sorry im not familiar with your setup but ive bumped the topic now and hopefully another member will reply soon dude.
