your problem is likely down to your dvd drive as you have a v 1.0 xbox your dvd drive would be a thompson which is not as good as samsung! i had the same problem! try hooking up a standard dvd drive to play your backups there are plenty of tuts on how to do this! if it still doesnt work then it could be down to the bios! try and update it if you can...hope this helps. _________________ why live now and die later when you can die now and live later!

I would maybe try a different bios actually. Just to see what would happen. If they still fail to load, I would also say the DVD drive could be suspect. If you are using a bad DVD drive to rip games to the HD they will not play off of the HD. Do you use DVD2Xbox to rip the game? If so, do you see where it says "Files Failed To Transfer"?
If so, does it say "0" before it, or are some files failing to transfer.
I dont know about the other games, but Ninja Gaiden is a large game file, it's on a dual layer pressed disk. Your Thompson Drive could be starting to have a weak laser and not penetrating the second layer properly, thus not reading files. This will cause the problem, but so will an improper or corrupt bios.
Since you have a 1.0, why dont you just try X2 5035 bios. Or, you can go a little old school with X2 4983 bios. I have that bios on two of my machines and been playing Ninja Gaiden without issue.
